School Visits
Like many authors, I enjoy sharing my books with children. As both a former teacher and a parent, I know teachers want authors to be engaging, inspiring, and educational. I develop my presentations in conjunction with teachers and librarians. Please scroll down to learn more and to request a visit.

I am able to do both in-person and online presentations for schools, libraries, festivals, and museums. My standard presentations include How Books Are Made and The Writing Process for K-2 and The Writing Process and Writing Workshop for grades 2-5. I also have a presentation focused on VAMPIRINA BALLERINA in which I discuss perseverance and hard work. These presentations last about 45 minutes and include time for Q&A. While most schools that invite me are elementary schools, I have taught middle and high school and am very comfortable speaking with groups of older students about writing as a career or the writing process.
I can also create custom presentations to meet your school’s needs for an extra fee. Please talk with me about what kind of program you are interested in. In the past, examples of specialty presentations include a Beginnings/Middles/Endings workshop for third graders and a revision workshop for fourth graders.
